Oh my gosh! I'm addicted to Youtube.

It was cool to see the Summer Reading Program Promos on Youtube. I think you guys got the right idea for Youtube usage for our library system.

I thought that Podcast.net was the easiest directory to use. You just search and click on play and it goes right to it. It was easy to subscribe to the feed too. It was easy to play podcasts in Yahoo Podcasts too but when I tried to subscribe to the feed it wanted me to download some software and I didn't see a RSS feed link on it for my particular search. With Podcastalley.com it wanted me to download a podcast aggregator in order to listen. Didn't like that.

I did a search on knitting and it brought back a ton of podcast on this subject. I think that it would be fun to listen to one of these podcast on knitting while I'm knitting.

I think that if we did podcasts of our meetings it would be nice for those that missed the meeting to be able to listen to it and it would be easier than taking notes.

As a LTA I'm suppose to teach other staff how to use new software or products as we get them and downloading audio books was one of them. I've done audio books, videos, and music. I know that we are not suppose to download the media console onto our staff pcs but I did it because I need to be able to teach staff. So I've been doing this downloading thing for a while now and it's really nice. I love listening to audio books while driving so I think that that is what I will download onto my mp3 player. I also love listening to music while working around our AMH machine so the other half will be music. We also have a couple of the new pc build public stations with the writeable cd drives and the audio download application so I've been helping patrons with that too.
