I've always used Google to do my searching and have come to love and trust searching on Google. So of course I went with Google but I did check out Rollyo too. I thought that Rollyo was a bit slow at returning search results. Google Custom Search Engine was faster and I liked the familiar look of it.

Here's the link to my search engine.

I feel that the way technology is moving, we'll be a Library 4.0 in no time and some of our patrons would love it. Some of our services that we offer to our patrons are great like the E-medias, burning to cds, self checkout, and self checkin, but like Rick Anderson said, "Libraries are poorly equipped and insufficently staffed for teaching." So how are we going to train all those patrons? And even before us teaching them we all have to be trained.

I like all this technology but I still love walking into a beautiful old library and browsing it's shelves. I love it when we get new books and I love seeing and talking to our regular patrons. But I know that we have to provide services to meet our tech savvy patrons' needs. So I guess I'll see you in Secondlife as a librarian avatar?
